Privacy Policy

Overview

Finicr ("we," "us," or "the platform") provides free trading tools and risk management education for informational and educational purposes. This Privacy Policy describes what information is collected when you use the platform, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Using the Tools Without an Account

Finicr does not require an account to use its tools. Unless you choose to sign in and sync, none of the tools on this platform transmit the figures you enter, including account balances, entry prices, stop-loss levels, or journal entries, to any server. All calculations are performed entirely within your browser.

Local Browser Storage

The tools store your Risk Profile, saved trade plans and Trade Journal entries using your browser's localStorage feature. If you are not signed in, this data is stored only on your own device and is not transmitted to Finicr or any third party. Clearing your browser's site data, using a different browser, or using a different device will result in this data not being available. If you import a CSV file of trades, the file is read in your browser and is not uploaded; only the trades you choose to import are saved, in the same way as your other journal entries. To support installing Finicr on your device and limited offline use, the site may also keep copies of pages and static files in your browser's cache.

Optional Accounts and Sync

You can optionally create an account to sync your data across devices. If you do, we collect your email address and the data you choose to keep in your account: your Risk Profile (such as account balance and risk settings), saved trade plans, and Trade Journal entries, including any notes and tags you write. This data is stored with our infrastructure provider, Supabase, and is protected by access rules so that it can only be read by your own signed-in account. We use it to provide the sync feature.

Signing out removes your data from the browser you signed out of, and it stays saved in your account. You can delete your synced data, or delete your account entirely, at any time from the Account page. Deleting your account permanently removes your sign-in and the data stored in it.

Website Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and where visitors come from. It records page views along with aggregated details such as the page address, referring site, country, and browser and device type. It does not use cookies. Instead, visitors are identified by a hash created from the incoming request, which resets daily and cannot be used to follow a person across days or across different websites. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Service Providers

We use the following providers to run the website and optional accounts. They process data on our behalf and under their own terms and privacy policies:

• Supabase provides sign-in and the database that stores your synced data. Our project is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt).
• Resend sends account emails, such as email confirmation and password reset messages. It receives your email address and the content of those messages.
• Vercel hosts the website, provides the analytics described above, and may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and request details, for security and operations.

Third-Party Services

Certain pages on this platform embed or fetch data from third-party services, including price data providers and an embedded economic calendar widget. These third-party services may independently collect information such as your IP address in accordance with their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review separately. Finicr does not control the data practices of these third-party services.

Cookies and Analytics

This platform may use standard web analytics and, where applicable, advertising technologies (including Google AdSense) that use cookies or similar technologies to serve relevant content and measure site performance. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Children's Privacy

This platform is not directed at individuals under the age of 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.

Your Choices and Rights

You can delete your account and synced data yourself from the Account page. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. To exercise them, or to ask a question about this policy, contact us at the address below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
